Winery  Amphora was founded in 2000 by Guy Rilob and winemaker Gil Schatzberg. Wine production was first done in a covered shed, and a few years ago has an impressive stone structure erected a spacious entrance area to the farm. Beautiful new building in the area of production of wine and enlightening visitors center of the winery. In 2008, Dubov family purchased the winery and, in co-operation and partnership with Guy Rylov and Dr. Arkadiy Papikian, a leading winemaker in Israel started developing and perfecting the winery, the winemaking, and the wines.

Since then, the winery was implemented renewal process and continuous improvement. To produce its exquisite wines the winery makes use of top quality vineyards, accumulated knowledge, best technological equipment. In its desire to produce top quality wines, the winery hired one of the best known and respected wine makers in the world-Michel Rolland, who himself owns ten wineries and provides consulting services to dozens of wineries all over the world, is considered to be one of the central figures in the world wine making industry. He brings his exceptional experience, skills and "magic touch," - an integral part of all top quality wines.

Makura Cabernet Sauvignon, 2009

A powerful wine, full of ripe fruit flavors combined with a slight coffee and earth aroma, with a herbal hint. The wine is intense, even dominant, full-bodied, with concentrated flavor and long finish.

Heavy, powerful wine, intense and full of flavors, its texture is smooth and harmonious. It has a complex finish with a hint of sweetness.
